    6 January, 2012, 9:43

@soccerman127 what a coincidence bro! That happened to me too! And it happened after I spent hours putting on different packages from cydia……

    TRUE STORY:
Yesterday I downloaded H1 Siri from Cydia for my iPod 4G (running 5.0.1), and when it told me to reboot my device… it got bricked! The white Apple logo was frozen on my screen fo hours until today when I had to restore my iPod which made it un-jailbroken. Lesson learned: You can’t trust EVERYTHING you see in Cydia

yeaaa. i downloaded this like 2 days ago and it got stuck on the apple logo after the reboot. i managed to fix it and i uninstalled it.

@hackr11007 – You’d have to replace the back case as the camera glass is on that component.

    6 January, 2012, 17:57

@PowerbookMedic It’s one of the 8 screws that holds the metal plate down.

    6 January, 2012, 18:37

@MrYourhomo – Check the connections again, and if still doesn’t come on, get it professionally diagnosed. You can give us a call at 866-726-3342, option 2.

  • PowerbookMedic
    6 January, 2012, 19:34

@ayomelanie – Probably not, it should likely reassemble fine…but then again it depends on exactly which screw.

  • PowerbookMedic
    6 January, 2012, 20:33

@Diegoayala43 – Yes, it will. However, if the screen is broken or the iPod has physical damage, the warranty is likely already void.

My home button isn’t working. I was told to open it & see because it might just be dirty inside. When I open it, would I still have to disconnect all of the cables?

You do not have to heat up the glass/adhesive? How does the new glass stay in place?
