If you jailbreak your device, Cydia is installed on it. What Cydia does is it allows you to install apps that are not approved for the Apple App Store. it allows for greater control and customization of your device as well.

No, but it is a better scanner. More range, etc. You’ll have to learn about WEP exploits, etc, if you want passes. =-}

I need help!! I used your method to jailbreak my 3gs. But every time I lock off(click the power button once) or restart my device, it stuck in a black screen. I tried Redsnow many times but doesn’t work. It paused on “waiting for reboot” screen and my device remains black screen… What should I do to fix it?
I like this but the firmware takes a long time to load up *sigh* :/

Okay I have some problems. I downloaded the firmware but when I go to open redsnow and hit browse, it won’t show up in my folders. I’ve followed the steps on numerous videos and you seem the most educated on the topic so I’m asking you. Why won’t the firmware show up? Also, when I click properties on redsnow, it won’t show the check box option you said was vital to the steps. PLEEEEEASE HELP!
